At TriBeCa Dental Associates, we want to help patients restore their smiles. To address breakage, decay, and tooth loss, we need to offer a wide range of dental restorations for patients to consider. That includes the use of dental crowns and bridges, which are readily available at both of our practice locations.
- Dental crowns – Dental crowns, or “tooth caps,” are made to cover a natural tooth and restore its function while at the same time offering a layer of protection against breakage and other dental concerns that can happen with time. The dental crown is made right in our dental office with our CEREC system, ensuring one-visit dental restorations are made while patients wait. That is achieved using digital impressions that are transferred to the CEREC system and milled from a block of porcelain that matches the patient’s existing teeth. Dental crowns are seamless, and when made by an experienced dentist with quality materials, are difficult to discern from natural tooth structures.
- Dental bridges – Dental bridges are used for replacing one or more teeth in a row. They are often made of ceramic and can also be made with our CEREC system if created with full ceramic. A dental bridge can be used to restore front teeth or teeth elsewhere in the dental arch. The dental bridge is an alternative to other tooth replacement options such as dentures and dental implants, both available in our practice.
Which restoration is right for me?
During a consultation appointment, our dentists will assess a patient’s current needs and help them decide the dental restoration that is right for them. By asking questions and educating themselves about the restorations used at TriBeCa Dental Associates, patients will have the opportunity to make an informed decision.
